“I Have A Dream”

Last night I had a dream which startled me awake!  I was sitting on a hill with many young people waiting for an event to start.  I noticed there was a young man carefully walking around and putting his hands on some of the young people’s shoulders.  It was as if they were being targeted for something.

All at once I noticed there were tankers off in the distance!  As soon as a hand was put on their shoulders and they were “picked” – the tankers then fired a silver dart at them.  I knew that these were darts from the enemy!

I tried to hold up my hands to shield these darts from them.  But I noticed that I did not have my shield to protect me.  My shield of faith was down!  I awoke and realized that God was trying to speak with me through my Dreams.

Today is the birthday of Martin Luther King.  He was probably most known for one of his most famous sermons “I Have A Dream” which he spoke during the march on Washington in 1963.  There were many injustices taking place in our nation.  Dr. King spoke to them to rise up above these injustices and believe that we can change them.

His voice was made silent on April 4, 1968 when he was assassinated.  Many people were shocked and outraged at this senseless killing!  But his voice is still heard today.  God is awakening a whole new generation to a cry for freedom against injustices.  At the end of the sixties there was a slogan circling that said “God was Dead”.

Also, in 1967 there was a 17 year old hippie who went up to a mountain named Tahquitz near Palm Springs.  He dropped LSD and cried out in the canyon, “God if you’re real – REVEAL YOURSELF TO ME”.  All of a sudden the atmosphere of the canyon started to change.  Jesus appeared to him and told Lonnie that a light was being put on him to reach lost people.  His name was Lonnie Frisbee.

At the same time in history, there was another man who was crying out to God.  His name was Chuck Smith and he had been pasturing a fledgling little church in Costa Mesa, CA named Calvary Chapel.  He used to go to Laguna Beach with his wife and watch all the hippies lining the streets.  He would shake his head and say, “Dirty Hippies, why don’t you take a bath”.  His wife, Kay, would shake her head crying saying, “Chuck, don’t say that!  We have to pray that God is going to reach these kids!”.

God caused these two men’s paths to intersect and the Jesus Movement was birthed.  Thousands of young people getting baptized in Corona Del Mar, CA at Pirates Cove.  Time magazine made Jesus “Man of the Year” – a Movement had begun.

Another movement is here right now!  This is a movement of the Fathers.  It will be Faith of our Fathers to see the next generation birthed.  Injustices done will now be forgiven.  The Lord is going to “turn the hearts of the Father’s to the children, and the children to their fathers”.  Malachi 4

Pastor Chuck Smith recently informed his congregation on January 1, 2012 that he has lung cancer.  He has never smoked and didn’t understand how this could happen.  Because of this many people are looking back to the roots of where the movement all began.  God is going to breathe new life into a new movement and resuscitate the church.  They will be kissed to wake up to their Destinies.   The dreams where the enemy has tried to target and destroy will now be birthed again.

The Lord is bringing forth His light to the lost!   On April 4th, 2012, it will be forty-four years since Martin Luther King was assassinated!  God is bringing forth the double portion.  The spirit of Elijah is being sent.  Even as thousands of people were baptized during the Jesus Movement so has another baptism begun.  It’s time for the new wave.

Get your boards and get ready for the ride of your life!  Surf’s up dude!
