Many of you have been watching the Olympics and seen the athletes competing for the medals. But the ultimate medal is the Gold Medal! There are many of you that have been going through transitions now and ready to breakthrough into the “NEW” thing which God is bringing forth into the body of Christ!
August is the eighth month and the number eight means “new beginnings”. But I also sense that many have gone through such intense trials that they are very weary. An athlete has to push himself while training and his coach is constantly challenging him to go harder than the athlete thinks he can endure. Also, mentally the athlete has to envision himself as winning the event. Many top athletes and contenders will see themselves crossing the finish line or scoring the point.
In the Bible there is a scripture that applies to this. In I Peter 1:7 it says, “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, thou it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor at the glory of the appearing of Jesus Christ”.
I hear the Lord saying, “Go for the gold! Go for the glory! This is the time that my church is going to shine. Wake up and shake up. I don’t care what has happened in the past…it’s time now to have a blast. Run the race and you will find your pace. Don’t look back at the season of lack. But look ahead and run for the gold instead. It’s another gold rush! Get ready for the glory and the gold. As long as you do what you are told. It’s time now to be bold. And I will give you back what the devil has stole. And now is the time to cross the goal! Go for the GOLD AND THE GLORY!
Michael Phelps – From ADHD Issues to Winning his 18th Olympic Gold Medal
Michael Phelps as a young man had very serious ADHD issues. He had so much energy his mother felt she was going to lose her mind. But then she enrolled him in swimming classes and he was like a fish out of water. One thing Michael Phelps had was tenacity. He hated to lose! Many of you know that he just won his 18th gold medal (22 medals in all) at the Olympics. I believe that this is a symbolic sign of Isaiah 22:22. God is going to give us the key of David. There are many keys that are being released to the church. But we have to have patience, endurance and tenacity to not give up during times of hopelessness. Every person in this world experiences these moments. But we have to push past them and run for the gold.
Lonnie Frisbee Film Project
I have been working on producing a major motion picture about a man named Lonnie Frisbee for over five years. After 3 screenplays and thousands of dollars spent – I finally found the writer who wrote the draft which I believe is the one God wants. We just completed the script in May and now are putting together the package for final funding. But in 2011 I was very discouraged and at one of the lowest places in my life. I was suddenly awoken at on April 4 at 4:20 a.m. My clock is not digital and it said, “4:4”. I heard the voice of God say to me, “You are crossing over a threshhold, I am greenlighting your movie”. The number 4 is the number of earth. But 4/4 is about double portion and combined it says “8” or new beginnings. Right after that time God started showing me how to raise the funds and they have been coming in. If I would have quit after the 3rd script I would be no where today. But I am pressing on for the prize – for the gold. God told me to believe for an Oscar. A gold statue! Am I doing that for myself and for the glory! No! I want this one for the King and the Kingdom of God.
