2013 – A Time To Be Born

God is moving in tremendous ways during this time in history.  2013 is going to be a great year of connecting for God’s people.  There are 13 major joints in the body and the Lord is going to start bringing connections to many people.  God is going to bring all the dry bones together and breathe new life into her this year.

Yesterday was my birthday and I woke up and heard the Lord speak this to me, “Meri, it’s a time to be born”.  I sat there for a few minutes and then I thought of the verse in Ecclessiastes 3: 1-2 “There is a time for everything and a season for everything under heaven.  A time to be born and a time to die.”

I sat there for a moment and pondered the last several months.  Last year in October of 2012 I had three people die in my immediate family.  The first one was my father, Joe Jensen, who died on October 2, 2012 of leukemia.  The second one was my cousin, Mary Jo McKracken who was in Belgium getting ready to speak at a conference.  She died in her sleep.  She had been struggling with an illness for many years and it was her time.  The last was my Uncle Phil Bifulk who died suddenly the last day of October of 2012.  That was the season for “A time to Die”.  But I know that they are in heaven and having the time of their life with Jesus.

But the Lord spoke to me that now is “A time to be Born”.  Many of you have been going through seasons where it seems like everything is dying around you.  But now it’s a time to be born.  The season of death is over and you are going to come into a new season of promotion, position and prosperity.  Believe that God is telling us during this new season and trust Him even when things look dark.  Your dark days are over….it’s time for a new season.

Esther’s Favor with the King

There was a young girl named Esther.  There is a book named after her in the Old Testament.  It’s called the Book of Esther.  Esther was a young girl whose parents died when she was young.  She basically became an orphan!  Her Uncle Mordechai raised her during this time of transition.  There was a king who Esthergoverned in the land named Xerxes.  He had a feast one day and wanted his wife to come and celebrate with them.  Her name was Vashti and she declined his invitation.  The King was so enraged by her not coming at his request that he banished her from his kingdom and started looking for a new wife to replace Vashti.  All the young girls in the kingdom were called to come forward for the King’s search.  Mordechai encouraged Esther that she should go forth during the search.  For one year all the girls went through beauty treatments and preparation for their time to go before the King.

All of a sudden the day came for Esther to come before King Xerxes.  I am sure she was nervous but she knew that God was with her.  When she appeared before the King she had immediate favor and was selected to be the King’s new wife.  This is what I was sensing that it is a NEW SEASON WITH NEW FAVOR.  A NEW THING WAS HAPPENING IN THE LAND.

But at the same time that God was raising up Esther there was a wicked plot being hatched by a man in the king’s council named Haman.   The Jewish people had been in captivity in Persia and Esther was a Jew as well.  Her uncle told her not to reveal her ancestry to the King.  Haman put out a decree that King Xerxes would exterminate all of the Jewish People.

Mordechai heard of this wicked plot and called for Esther.  He told her of the plot and Esther informed him that she had not been called by the King to come into his chambers for a while.  It was under their law that if she came when not called there was a possibility that she could be killed.  Esther mentioned this to Mordechai and he replies to her in Esther 4:14, “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish.  And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?  But if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place, but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

It’s Time to Believe

Wow!  God put her in a position for deliverance but she had the choice.  What are you going through today where you are at a crossroads!  It’s time to believe and go all the way with what God is calling us to do.  A time to be born….not a time to die.

Esther called her maids forth and went on a three day fast before she approached her husband, the King.  God gave her the strategy and when she approached the King she had favor.  He stretched out his scepter and asked her, “What is it that you want….I will give you up to half my Kingdom”.  We are in a season of favor – not fear.  We have to be bold and approach the Lord with the directives that He has given us.  Not be in fear as to what the devil is trying to destroy in our lives.EstherRing

Basically what happened is that the plans the Haman had to destroy the Jews did not come to pass.  His evil plans were exposed through Esther to the King and Haman was killed.  Justice was served and the Jews were granted immunity and the King made a decree in the land for the record and they were honored.    What are you going through in this season?  God is going to turn it all around and give you double for your trouble.

Even as this month we also celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14th, God wants us to remember that we need to remember I Corinthians 13.  It’s the love chapter.  We need to walk out all of these trials with love and forgiveness to our enemies who are trying to sabotage what God is doing.  Everything is coming up roses for the King’s Kids and Justice will be served.

The Feast of Purim (about Esther) is being celebrated February 24th around the world.  Let’s celebrate not only Valentine’s Day but the deliverance of God’s people through a young orphaned girl named Esther who chose to believe God and trust Him even though she could have been killed.  He has called you to the Kingdom for “Such a Time as This”.

  1. Jesus grew in favor with God and with men. As we go through the process of beauty through soaking in His presence and walking through the fires of affliction, we shall come forth as the ‘Display of His Splendour.’ The Dark Night of the Soul will bring us to the Full Noonday Son formed within us.
